European Ediltrophy 2026: Spain Wins the First Stage of the European Final in Bologna

12/10/2026

The Spanish team claimed victory over Italy during the first stage of the European Ediltrophy final, held on 9 October 2026 at SAIE, the international construction exhibition in Bologna, Italy.

Representing Fundación Laboral de la Construcción (FLC), the Spanish team competed against the Italian team representing Formedil Italia in a practical challenge that tested technical skills, precision, teamwork and compliance with safety standards.

The competition focused on dry construction systems, with participating teams tasked with building a structure based on the winning design from the European Ediltrophy competition for technicians. This approach highlighted the connection between technical design and practical construction skills, bringing together different professional competences within the construction sector.

Congratulations to Team Spain for winning the first stage, and to both teams for their commitment, professionalism and excellent performance!

The European final continues in Germany

The second stage of the European Ediltrophy 2026 final will take place on 13 November in Hamm, Germany, where two more teams will compete:

  • Germany: Berufsförderungswerk der Bauindustrie NRW (BFW)
  • Luxembourg: Centres de Compétences GTB/PAR

Two stages, four countries, one European final!

European Ediltrophy is an Erasmus+ project coordinated by Formedil Italia, aimed at promoting vocational education and training, innovation and the development of construction skills across Europe, with a particular focus on dry construction systems.

Beyond the competition, the project encourages knowledge exchange, cooperation between European training organisations and the sharing of best practices to support the future of the construction industry.
